The semantic web is the vision and technologies for making the web machine readable. The core technology is RDF which allows data files that can deliver meta-information about web files (identified by URLs}, and non-web objects (identified by URI). For AI this offers way to apply different forms of {[automatied reasoning}} to {[web-scale data}}.
